What animal data support Saltikva?

Nearly 4,000 mice across five tumor models (colorectal, breast, neuroblastoma, osteosarcoma, pancreatic) were treated without untoward effects, in studies from the University of Minnesota laboratory of Daniel Saltzman, MD, PhD. In 19 pet dogs with osteosarcoma treated with amputation and doxorubicin, 22% of dogs given Saltikva were free of metastases at one year, vs under 10% of comparison dogs (Fritz et al., Vet Med Sci 2016;2(3):179–190 ↗). These are preclinical results from the originating group and do not establish safety or effectiveness in people.
